Met JOH last weekend at a local Honda event in Nottingham along with the rest of the BSB team. Must admit I was impressed with JOH as he gave a lot of his time and I chatted away with him for ages. We talked about the current Fireblade and the insight into a racers mind when you know you've not got the best bike on the grid. What surprised me the most was when he said it wasn't the power output that let the blade down but the chassis (?!!?). Coupled this to the non factory developed throttle control system and this was (as he saw it) the biggest issue with the current blade in BSB. Chatted with Dan Linfoot (not very talkative) and Jenny Tinmouth (hot) - but JOH stood out as the most down to earth and approachable. Throwing my support behind JOH for the rest of the season.
I spent ages with Jenny looking over Dan's bike going through all the tech bits, she was great. Dan was cool also, spoke with him a bit and he interacted with my little girl. Never got the chance to talk to JOH though. The Racefit exhausts look nice also and the owner seemed like a cool cat.
yeh they seem to roll it out at every opportunity but I've not seen one on the road. They did a Scott Redding Marc VDS Honda (blue) replica one also that I've never seen on the road.
Very smart it is to....I don't think it will date to bad as it hasn't got logos everywhere , probably the best paint scheme out of all the blades, I would lose that big white hugger let the rear wheel free........
Oh no don't say that about the rear hugger. It's cost a small fortune to get painted. Dream Machine did it first and it looked like a child had painted it. I then had to get a painter I know who had to put their fuck up right and re do it again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DM seem to have gone off the boil recently. Needed some work doing on my Blade a few months ago and the attitude wasn't brilliant from the guys. So I took it to another painter in Nottingham and they did a fantastic job for a fifth of the price!
SPOILER!!!!! Don't read below if you haven't seen the BSB result Obviously worked and thanks to me JOH had a great weekend!
Thanks made my watch on youtube, good to see the blades up there again,,,,,still looks a great bike , interesting the 1299 now has under seat exhausts again Ducati Corse have thrown ££££££££ at that thing to make it competive , must admit they look good if they made the road version like that could be tempted ...
