    Hi guys.

I have the tank off my 2006 blade to fit a new CCT and silicone hoses and was planning on doing the plugs and valve clearances whilst I'm in there.

The bike has 13K on the clock.

    Am I being too cautious?
I know the clearances aren't strictly due until 16K and the plugs until 32K.

I just thought that when I'm in this far it would be a good idea to do the lot.

    Thoughts?

I'd whip the plugs out to see what condition they are in, assuming they look good I would be happy to put them back in. Or if you want complete peace of mind spend £45 and put a new set in.

If you plan on doing track days on it, which I think you mentioned before, may be worth checking valve clearances whilst you have access before you thrash it around the track.

hell, it's winter, can't ride so may as well do a compression test on it whilst there to see what she is like :)

Change the fork oil too if you have no record of if being done.

Cheers mate. I think I'll do the lot even just for peace of mind!
