    Hi

Just joined so thought I'd add a quick intro. I'm John and live just outside Bristol. Have finally decided to give in to temptation and sell my Hornet and upgrade to a Fireblade which will be the fun bike and some commuting.

Have got a few I'm interested in, a 7000 mile 1 owner 04 plate in mint condition for just under £4k, then saw a black 05 plate with 23000 miles for a smidge less than £3k and finally an 09 plate in red & black with 24000 miles but I know the previous owner who used it to commute a 210 mile round trip every day on motorways for £5k.....decisions, decisions, still guess it's a nice situation to be in.

    John

If only all decisions could only end in such a positive outcome.

Hi John and welcome to the forum.

    Cheers

Thanks for the replies...budget initially started at £3.8 but the 09 plate looks fantastic.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Working budgets out and also cracking on with getting the new shed/ garage built to house the bike in so hopefully won't be too long, can't wait! Make a great change to my current commute on an NC700 as well.

Remal...based in Clevedon but work just up the road from Temple Meads.

Did twice but never again I'm afraid. Got a mate at Morses in Weston who always sees me right on stuff, plus I get discounted rates at work.

Morses are very good, why did you find Clevedon MC not very good if you don't mind me asking John? and was that in the last 2 years?

I like Morses and know Chewy there, they sorted my hornet out for me quickly and with minimal fuss. The hornet went into Clevedon Motorcycles twice in the last year...first time came out and problem not fixed despite assurances and a bill to prove it was....bike went back 2nd time, again said it was sorted having found a burnt connector on starter solenoid which they 'cleaned up' then tried charging me 2 hours labour before the guy who did the work came out and said he'd only done 45 mins work on it....bike then broke down again leaving me stranded in weston...bike went to Morses who replaced the starter solenoid and problem finally sorted.

Morses also sorted bikes for me to use when bike in with them, CM didn't/couldn't. Not a huge issue now as we've 'got' 4 bikes (other half got 2, I run the Hornet (when not in the garage for work) and have use of a company bike too) to play around with but at the time it was a real pain not having any bike....can't see me getting to work for 8.45am if I have to do the commute in the car.

Greetings fella, i live in Clevedon too... small world!

Totally agree about Clevedon Motorcycles... since the new fella took over they have been useless, wouldn't trust them to service a lawnmower let alone my pride and joy.
He fitted a front tyre for me on previous bike and it was only after I rode home that I found he hadn't tightened the pinch bolts at the bottom oftof the forks!
A friend took his gixxer there to have a TRE fitted which is essentially plug-and-play... bike hasn't run right since and keeps blowing reg/recs.

    Anyway, welcome fellow Clevedonian!

Welcome mate if its of any help i had a 06 Blade which was really fantastic in every way, I now i have a 2012 ABS model which is even better, so go for the later one if you can afford it, if not you will not be disappointed anyway.
