Some swelling still and some loss of movement but should be fit and ready for Fireblade summer! Come ON!

(It should be ready in spring but it sounds better this way)

Apart from the sandals consider me suitably impressed Lambeth. Did they let you keep the rig as a souvenir?

How VERY dare you, K! Those sandals were lovingly chewed by my brother's Weimeraner. I do indeed have the rig upstairs. When I reach a critical mass of boredom (not long now) I shall reassemble it. Without the leg. It's pretty neat - part titanium.

When they'd hooked the cage off and before they took all the wires out I thought my leg looked like a fleshy tv mast. Wish I'd got a picture.

It is pretty cool. I got to correct the angle of my leg for a week after the operation to install it - a mm/day on the screwed struts + on some - on others. 2, being the axis, stayed still. Crazy feeling my leg being slightly rotated while doing it.

But 4.5 months of having it on wore bloody thin in the end.

Sign of the times. When my leg had to be reset, the sister in the fracture clinic put my foot between her big, warm boobs, lathered me to the knees in hot plaster of Paris then nodded at a doctor who twisted my ankle and held it until the whole rigmarole set in the new position.

I swear, if I could have reached him at that point I'd have killed him. I've cried once or twice as an adult but I think that's the only time I have in pain. That was only 14 years ago. Now you get techno gorgeousness and Titanium.

I think I'd still prefer a ward sister's boobs though.

Just had a run out ,about 50 mile each way and although it looks warm its not and with the summer gloves on it was nippy on the fingers and I also bought an up the jacket newspaper .The roads around Cheshire are full of tractors as its ploughing season and the roads have a line of hard thin shit in the centre for miles also for those who have not yet been out Dont take it for granted that your Favorite road or indeed bend is the same bend as you left it last summer because there is a good bit of the surface missing and although it doesn't look a big deal it throws you off line .

Had a well deserved lie in. Managed to get the bike out before J got home from shopping and found me something else to do. Gave the grass at the old kpone pile it's first cut of the year, getting a real workout pushing a peice of kit that's supposed to hover around the garden. Spent half an hour researching a decent replacement (still no wiser). Now just chilling waiting to go to a 21st birthday party where I will be assaulted in the senses in a way no man of my age without children of his own should be, before going to bed deafened by the sound of my own Tinnitus.
