Ok, Spalders said the shafts are different by 3mm! Knew he'd know...lol "06/7 clutch sits about 3mm further in than the 04/5. Now we sell one clutch that fits all 4 years..." Im going to order one of the later all model 4-7 slippers from Spalders soon... to see what's what and test one out.

Can anyone explain why 07 boxes apear to be nearly half the price of 05 ones? Still searching for a box they seem to be alot cheaper in the US but there's something very off putting shopping for a mail order tranny!
Get back onto your gearbox mate mail ordering a tranny is just gonna be messy lol ill have a ask around there's a breakers in stoke he has a engine he does not wanna spilt but I'm arm twisting see if he breaks !
Most prob that people are not aware that a 06/7 box can be used in a 04/5 and the fact that 06/7 box's are stronger and less likely to fail.............thus no demand for them.
UPDATE - I have found a low millage gearbox and I have managed to beat him down to a price I can afford and should be arriving at Arthur's by Wednesday/Thursday. Thank you for everyone's help and advice

Well i popped in this morning to tell him what arthur has advised, he is doing lots a little jobs today so he has all day tomorrow free to work on mine so i wont know anything untill tomorrow night / wednesday morning. i also gave him arthurs phone number just incase he needs a little help. i think its 1 of 2 things, either i was a total idiot and didnt connect the loom properly on coil 1, or worst case senario is that something is broken somewhere in the loom. if he can fix it then it should be sorted quickly but if there is a fault in the loom somewhere and he cant find it then i will have to buy a new loom. neither are massive expense but its just time consuming and i dont like the bike not being sat in my garage
