I went out there on friday, overtook someone on an '05 Repsol on the way across from Gainsborough, he pulled in to will woods after me for a chat and said he had come all the way from Derby, must have been knackered 'cos i don't do more than 70 ;)

I'm surprised Simon didn't keep the track fairings on. It would be worth checking that everything holds together before needing them for the track.

Just missed you Rich, that's a shame I was Billy no mates today. A funny thing happened to me on the way home, a police car came towards me and I was let's say progressive, I was sure he braked and turned around, minutes later I could see a white vehicle in my mirror so I pushed on. A few miles later I thought nothing of it, however, my fuel light came on so I doubled back to the nearest garage and there he was:eek: coming towards me again, I passed him waited till he was out of my mirror view and I opened the throttle and didn't look back! My wife says I'm paranoid, I guess I'll never know:confused:

lol reckon I would get pulled with No lights on my bike though Muff  but seems very sturdy, am sure it will hold together :D

I will be getting a new road fairing at some point, not sure which one to go for yet though? as mine seems to almost as common as Repsols ;)

I do wonder though if just a number plate would make the track fairing ok for the road as i've seen loads of track bikes on ebay advertised with daytime MOT's. It's possible that a regular MOT would cover you? Just means lots of hand signals.

On the fairing front, search images of all the options and make a shortlist. Hanspree was my 2nd choice, but i liked the castrol more.

what do you think to this, its darker blue than most of the red Bull ones you see?

I like the red bull fairing and you can keep your current leathers, don't worry about today Simon, you would only slow me down ;)

That looks spot on and i can't see anyone else turning up wearing the same dress :eek:oer

Alternatively you could do what i did and have your fairing resprayed for £200 and buy a decal set, then you don't have to worry about any possible Chinese quality/fitting issues.

Hi Muffking, It was me you passed but the explanation was the rush into the loo before we spoke, can't ride with my legs crossed. I'm from Sheffield not Derby. Did Mablethorpe after and back home. Did you get back before your lass realised you had been out.;)

Lol, trust me to get mixed up, nice long ride for you though.
I got back before she did, but she pulled in the drive to find me washing the bike down. Sussed :D
