Funny reading this thread, you boys are dumping some serious wedge, apart from normal servicing, insurance/tax and tyres, I got the arse when R&G charged me 13 quid for replacement tail tidy number plate leds that had failed and that's my only spend after 14K commuting miles last year.

When I think what I used to drop in trackdays/travel/parts and repairs, I am getting seriously tight as I get older.

the worst thing is being on these bloody forums, you constantly see people buying nice things, and then going.... hhhhmmmm only 100£, I like that, only 400£ for a HM QS, I'll have one of those... before you know it you've spent a few grand :D :D

Well luckily I have accumulated all my tools etc in years gone by. It's the bikes and upgrades that cost me.
    Problem is it never ends.

I totally underestimated this as usual. Though indirect, because I spend my hard earned to do a few trackdays and buy a bit of bling(read - safety modifications) , to 'er indoors I can also afford to buy a new car(for her), windows for the house, bathroom and kitchen.

Damn, I could only dream of what bike/s I would have if I was single!

Slick- im single and live at home and i reckon atleast 2/3 of my income goes on bikes or bike related things. This year with racing that will probably be nearer 80%!! I must be fcukin mental.

No mate do it while you can!. You can always earn the dough, but when you have a wife and kids you just will not have the time to yourself. I wouldn't change my current situation for anything but I do wish I did a lot more with my life when I had less commitments . DOWIT with no regrets!!

You only live once matey. If bikes are your passion, then they will cost you money. I have spent more on bikes than I have on my house over the years.
Do I regret it? Not really. A few things I do, like when i bought an old brit bike in a fit of romanticised nostalgia and nearly killed myself when I realised drum brakes are shit!
On the whole though I wouldn't change it.

I may slow down a little, but that will be after the TT....and the new tyres I need to buy before I leave
