Just watched this on record. Now I've been a serious climber for many years, rock,ice and big altitude mountaineering stuff, including more than my fair share of solo (rope less) climbing. Frankly I found the whole thing sickeningly worrying. Sadly the lad has serious mental health issues broiling just under the surface and he certainly didn't seem to be doing it for the sheer fun of it. I think it very unwise to glorify such things. Yes he has got big balls but why do it purely to film yourself and put it on you tube, shurely the love of the 'sport' and the buzz would be enough.......I feel that its sadly to fill a deep void in his need to be loved / respected etc felt very sorry for his mum
Probably, unless there was a rope round his neck... The British guy did seem like a very troubled teenager, the Ukrainian 'Mustang something or other' just seemed a bit of a tit & everything was for show.

I'm sure I read somewhere that a particular group of native Americans in upstate New York have an actual genetic predisposition to not be afraid of heights, and there is a standing tradition for men of their tribe to find work in the skyscraper construction industry in large cities. Perhaps numpty brain is wired up similarly. I'm sure those with diagnostic skills have noted form the programme that he's not in Kansas any more, mindset-wise.
