I have finally got round to fitting my tail tidy and Rizoma Indicators.
I really like them and at least I won't get jeered at now for my ugly original tail tidy on ride outs.
    BUT
The indicators are so small and the evotech tidy mount points are further in than the R&G, so now my legal plate obscures them too much.
Is there anywhere in the Essex Herts area that I can go and get a 8x6 "show plate" made up.
I can't ride my bike much with the indicators obscured I won't feel safe. I know I can order online but would of liked to get one a bit quicker.
    Cheers for any help!

You have the same problem as me.
I got a plate 1" shorter width wise and have had no problems with it.

I'm surprised by how much smaller an 8x6 looks, mine was bigger than 9x7 though, just

No border or tag line so the letters are almost legal size

Don't want to take the mick or ask to be pulled so unlikely to go much smaller

My plate took about 3 working days to arrive

Why not just put the old indicators on until the new plate arrives

I folded some paper to give me an idea of the new size, it looks a lot beter

did toy with old indicators but had to cut into electrics for new ones and really don't fancy undoing and redoing all again.
Maybe ill go retro and stick me arm out as a secondary warning lol

What about just cutting the plate down yourself? The border looks pretty big

Did toy with cutting down but its bound to look pants so Im going to order one online tomorrow.

As for Bike tent, they are a wee bit pricey, but BLOODY HELL its fantastic, so much better than a bike cover.
No more getting soaked taking the cover off in the morning. Best thing Ive bought for ages.
    Cannot recommend enough.

In case anyone was interested or just wanted to compare the standard size with an 8x6.
You can see the indicators properly now so I'm happy.

Definitely better, surprised it still looks quite big though... Must be very narrow indicators

Seriously mate the blooming resistors were bigger than the indicators!
They are nice and bright though so not a safety compromise.
They are Rizoma Action indicators btw

Agree with Ben needs to be smaller ,the plod ain't going to bother you at 6x4 unless he hasn't had a leg over the night before ,seriously not the crime of the centuary when rapists, murderers and scum out there.

PMSL! cheers dude, I know what you mean but I ride everyday to work and pass more plod in a fortnight than I can count!
Dont fancy giving them an excuse to keep stopping me when I'm running late for work every morning.
6x4 bloody hell I eat chocolate bars bigger than that lol

I've got an 8x6 on my R&G tail tidy with mini indicators and its looks good, but my indicators are further apart. Thought about a 7x5, and still might at some point. I'm staying conservative as while I don't think I'll get pulled for it, I don't want to make my chances worse if I do get pulled

8x6 is a good blend of being smaller but without making a big difference to the font size, you basically lose the huge border. My previous plate was also more like 9x7.5 so its had a bigger proportional effect
