Had mine from new since March 2010 and have covered just over 13k miles. Though I have put around another 3.5k miles on my other bikes in that time also.
Bought my new in 2009; over the internet from Suttons of Tamworth . Have just had the 24000 miles service done.
Interesting post as I've been worrying if I should get a newer blade, just on miles/resale value. 08 model bought off dude I knew emigrating May '13 with 14k, now 26k. FSH -ridden daily no problems except thieving bastards and a wiring error with the Datatool-since removed when I first got her. Plus Honda honoured the clutch recall (cos I asked nicely)at 16k. Maybe too late to worry about that and just love the one you're with? Maybe. GaryS
July 2008 Bike, which I got second hand on Jan 1st 2009 with about 2k on the clock Its somewhere near 80,000 now - and no real mechanical problems in that time - engine has almost no wear after those miles - and its been covered in sh!t (literally) , snow, sludge, mud, muck, Hudson Kennagh dude was disgusted when he saw it on track looking like a tractor once! However this year has been a different story...
Interesting post Remal, nice one. Got my RR6 3 years ago and it had 3K on it. It now has 11K on it , so 8K in 3 years. The old girl is now 8 years old and still only 11 K. Used purely for fun, usually for 40 miles per ride and no touring. Must ride her more.
RR6 bought January this year, 9,600 on clock then, just passed 17,000 now, including a trip to the Pyrenees in the summer
18 months old and 4,100 miles. But 1,100 miles were clocked up in a 5 day European trip last year. Could do better !
