Must be a good reason why all these folk are selling on their Diamond Rearsets before they even use them! U know it makes sense to go Italian Wedgie!
For me it's more like I'm an idiot...I do dumb things like two sets of stuff because I see a better one I like after. From a visual, in the box, inspection they look ok but the Attack's are on a way different level and also double the price. Also I didn't think Diamonds were very good to deal with, a big thread already here about them.
Theyre good enough parts and easy to get but worst crashing rearsets ive ever had! Ill show you pics later. Maybe just bad luck on my part eh but theyre very thin and they flex on the frame with my hand nevermind legs. Ill be changing them soon tbh
I fitted diamond rear sets yesterday and they went on okay. The original gear lever set up is not used and the instructions that come with the rear sets are crap! I don't think they would crash well.
Yep went on ok with me, the side that I fitted. I just wasn't happy with the rear brake, although others have said that is pretty standard with race rearsets. I haven't even been bothered selling them yet, just when anyone says they are looking for some. Will end up sticking them on eBay no doubt, when I can be arsed.
The rear brake isn't great with the Attack's I bought and they were a lot more expensive than the Diamonds. As you said, it seems to be a thing with rearsets.
I've got diamond on mine, for the money they ain't bad at all and I've had no issues since fitting them last year. Would I buy a set direct from Diamond- no chance, the governor's an absolute arse IMO.
Oh dear oh dear. Mine have been the opposite. Although ur right about some flex in them. Thought nothing of it il try jump up and down on some others
yes scott lol i lost my footpeg just outside builth wells and had an hour ride home , so i made that temporary footpeg !!!! lets just say right hand bends were a bit scary lol
