    Hi All,

Not a regular poster here but I've just seen this thread Loomies' Last Weekend - PistonHeads.

I know at least a couple of regular posters here are Loomies customers so thought it might be of interest - Apparently this is their last weekend of trading. I'm hoping to pop down for a burger this afternoon!

I wonder if StarBucks will still shout over the PA "get your f#cking hairy arse in here or your f#cking food's going in the bin" Such a welcoming establishment haha

Hopefully the place will remain biker friendly and not disappear up it's own arse like so many other previously popular places....

Has it? Load of rumours already, I've taken them all with a pinch of salt, cafe, hotel, estate, UFO friendly landing site, who knows...it's never over til the fat lady sings...we will see what becomes.

You sporting the fast colours avatar Kev...lol

Oh dear, just seen they have just announced they are staying open
Another poor attempt to make money from us!

I'm done with them now that's lower than when they asked for donations!

I heard it was a joint ownership with old owners hence keeping same name

Everyone knows it as loomies and am guessing the new owners might have been worried to change the name in case of losing customers and trying to promote a new so to speak bike venue, H cafe at Dorchester has had over 5 different owners in the last 15 years but still called H cafe.

I'm easy and went for a ride, my backs been buggered for a week so thought I'd give the bike a try, you know how it is you miss it like hell, so I went for a quick blast and popped by, tbh I don't care too much for the abuse that was thought by many as funny, nice people to me after I said some years back I'd rather you did not swear at me, since then they were always polite to me. Think the few I talked to felt cheated as they had clubbed together to help out and now find out it's not closing just changing hands, they said over the PA that they only just found out, but that chap we spoke to months back said what I posted and we thought it odd...but turns out he was right so some how he knew or it was a lucky guess. Bikers find places to meet they have done for years and I have been one that floats around from place to place, the Darby and Box used to be massive, Loomies was and is tame compared to that. Still was funny today having a laugh with a few mates... :)
