Fitted an Active Quick action throttle yesterday, fantastic quality and looks the business. Connecting the bottom cable was a little awkward but was made easier when I removed the fuel tank, the instructions are basic tho. I have installed the middle tube 42mm and it has livened up things without being to sensitive.

I've had all sorts of QAT, but after trying most (Domino, HRC, Active and Robby Moto) I prefer the Robby Moto QAT, and always the shortest throttle....
They all make the world of difference compared to the OEM throttle

It makes the twist of the throttle shorter... alot of bikes have long throttles, so when racing and you come out of a corner, you can nail it, without having to re-grip the throttle to open it 100%
takes a bit of getting use to, but it is always one of the first mods I do on my racebikes....I couldn't ride without it

The downside of having one is that if your front wheel hits a pothole mid corner it can jolt the bars, and hence your throttle hand, enough to crack the throttle a tadge further open which can cause a right stomach churning moment.

I've had that twice now on a standard throttle on UK roads so refuse to fit one to the Blade but do have one on the ZX10 Tracker as Race Tracks don't tend to have potholes, Darley Moor accepted! ;)

I have quick action throttles fitted to my last 2 GSXr 1000's without any issues of unexpectly opening throttle if the front wheel hits a pothole.

I never had any issues or unexpected behaviour with my Accossato Quick Action Throttle.
I almost did not feel the difference when I used the 42mm.
For a real quick action, you need the 44mm or 46mm for street use.
Like always, on track it might be a different story.

what im thinking is that the aftermarket ones come with different cams 37mm 40mm 43mm etc but the hrc one is described as 1/6 turn.

price wise new HRC is similar to 2nd hand aftermarket QAT so i could have two extra cams for the same price, but if they are slower turns there are not point, if they are faster in low increments then its worth getting the 2nd hand one....

Is that "can you get full throttle without readjusting grip?" Yes I can now I have the shorter turn tube fitted.

Hope this helps, let me know if I got the wrong end of the stick mate.
