Good point mate. I used the rubber edge strips you get with screens to stop this happening with mine. Works a treat.

Checked valve clearances... Then started putting bike back 2gether, the air box and cam cover are a nightmare to get out and back in!!
Oh and also put new spark plugs in and installed the loom for my new HM quick shifter.. image.jpg

Yep, and all the pipe work, remove the selonoid too, block the correct hole in the air box, NOT the rocker breather, some did...lol

Warning the m6 bolts that hold the reed covers onto the rocker cover are Loctight (strong) shear off easy! Best to block the pipe holes off and leave them fitted it they feel tight!

Can this be done without taking cam cover back off?

Yep, also stops popping on over run, or rather helps reduce it, also no need for dyno opp to clamp it off if you get bike mapped as no fresh air will be passed into the exhaust system. :)

    Result with the clearances..

Yes mate. You can gut the lot out. You can get a blanking kit on ebay for cheap, that blanks the valves on the cam cover and a bung for the air box, unplug all the electrics and discard along with all that pipework... Boom..
