Nothing but respect for you and all the others out there that race their bikes - I've watched road racing for years (mainly on TV, the odd Oulton and Donnington race and even went to Misano GP last year) but crapped myself sat on the pit wall at Oulton Park last year watching a Track Day session and witnessed the need for massive balls to get out there to compete and mix it. Put the details up in the events / ride out section with dates, when you racing etc. and maybe one or two may travel to support / help you Have you sponsorship ? Perhaps sell names for fairing at £x per name / letter or something (like the rider who did it with photos of faces

Thanks for that, I will post things up for sure. I think that it is recorded by Duke video or at least it was last year. However, even if it was, I doubt that the cameras would wait that long for me to go past!
Thanks for the good wishes! Oliver's Mount is a possible, but I want to get this under my belt first and see how the roads and I get on. I may hate it and decide to stick to circuits. Only time will tell I guess!
Cheers Al, I shall put the dates up as soon as I have it all confirmed. As for sponsorship, I don't have any at all and have never really thought about it. I kind of feel a bit cheeky asking people to fund my hobby! However, if people are willing to do so, then I would be over the moon to put names on fairings etc.

Well, the entry forms and regulations have today been released for the Southern 100. Reading through it all, I feel as though I am starting racing all over again. The classes are easy enough to figure out, so I am going to enter the 600 race but may also go for the open race too. I also have to apply for planning permission (!!!!!) to actually take the caravan over to the Isle of Man, stating my ferry times and where I will be staying there, as apparently caravans aren't allowed on the island normally. The paperwork side of things is quite strict as apparently there are ways of wording things that help. I also have to ensure everything is lockwired, more so than standard circuit racing, so am going to spend many a happy evening drilling bolts, making brackets to hold lockwire on. The number colours will be different too, so that all needs to be changed after the last race before I go. All fun stuff and part of the build up to it all.
