Well my latest Bling arrived today! Woolich Racings Strain gauge Quickshifter with combined Launch Control and Pit Lane speed limiter! Just gota find some free time to fit it now!
Looks like the strain gauge in that unit works at a 90 degree angle rather than the convention 'Push/Pull' of mine which is the same as the HM units
Nice one Jay, would definitely be interested to see how well it works mate, I'm still not happy with my SS HM....
As Jay said, known as a peg sensor "toe peg" it works in much the same way as the others just mounted as seen. MMat surprised your not happy with the SS? Maybe call HM and have a chat about any issues, without your call they can never improve and help people get sorted.. Give them a shout mate they are there to help as am I. HM and Cordona make quality race proven shifters. Also HM do integrated shifters too.
Must admit Matt the HM+ I bought off Arthur for my ZX10 Track bike has worked faultlessly from day one. Only issue I had was when I moved the control unit and Zip tied it too tight to a Coolant hose which then depressed the setting button in constantly. Took a while to work out but that was my fault.
that looks exactly the same as my cordona pq8(as arthur states),albeit mine has the strain gauge inline with the shift rod. cracking bit of kit. why have pit lane limiter+launch control on a road bike jay? (dont even think about saying 30 zones ) would it not better to have all that crap on your track bike? your not going to turn into one of those tossers that has to get his laptop out everytime you stop the bike are you
Thanks Arthur, I'm going to spend the next two trackdays tinkering around with it, if I'm not happy after that i shall be in touch mate, want to rule everything out before i start bothering people...
Nah not me Scoobs, I'll be using an iPad Air via Blutooth instead so I can sit in me chair in the Garage and just look like I'm checking emails or surfing! Reason I bought it for the road bike is that I already have the Mitsubishi Log Box Pro flashing kit installed on the road ZX10 and this all works in conjunction with it. It's already got am awesome Map on it, had the Traction Maps altered so I have a new Race Traction Map in position 1, Map 1 is now in Map 2's old position and Map 2 is now at position 3. The old Map 3 was a joke and chimed in in the bone dry. Power modes have been fettled with too! I can also alter things on the fly which the old ECU settings wouldn't allow, you had to be stationary, Rev limits been raised slightly to counteract the lower gearing. Flashing also changes the fueling cut off on a closed throttle which causes jerky on/off throttle response, especially on track on corner entry. There's rucks more tbh but I got Brain frazzle just listening and watching Rich at work. Took the Bike down to Gloucester where he's based one Saturday and let him set it all up and show me the basics, tiz virtually limitless what can be done now. Track bike has already been flashed by Rich at RB Engineering so I can now sell the PCV that used to be on it. It also already has an HM+ quickshifter so no point in buying twice at the mo. Also the new ZX will eventually be my new Track Bike either A) If I can't resist it, or B) If I write the existing one off this year!
yea i know the full sp on them, just curious. you can alter the setting whilst on the fly on beemer already it is just a rebranded product though, bit like that company that sold HM under a different name.might be a different route of breraking into the market a bit more, who knows.
That'll be Annitori. I got one for my K5 Gixer and had problems. Leigh at HM replaced it for me! Top service. Kept it when the K5 went so I still have it to fit to the Blade
having it on the toe peg puts me off a bit for racing , likley to go through a few of those when you have an off
