Looks like that was how the tyre came out of the mould. Only more noticeable now you have scrubbed in the sides to the edge? otherwise I've never seen that before
Could be a rebound problem too, that will give uneven wear, your tread looks lipped at one edge and round at the back, that is rebound, what did the bike feel like on the edge?
What is the tyre? I had a similar issue, as did a mate when we both had Pirelli sport touring tyres a few years ago. The profile of them meant they were easy to get to the edge, and over it! Its also worth checking your wheel alignment.
That is a very large and uneven chicken strip, to cure it grow bigger balls Oh and as stated there maybe something wrong with your suspension....
It felt bouncy ... Hence I slowed the rebound down. I'm wondering if I am overheating the shock on track.
What year is yer bike do you have showa big piston sussies.What is your sag and settings and weight. On the throttle the front of the sype is raised overun the back is raised would be interesting to see your rebound settings and how hard the front is set. How was the bike on the brakes and throttle?
It's not a rebound problem, rebound problem makes big sign of wear to the edge of the tire especially where you apply throttle. Its seems to be a zone where you think the tire is slipping so you don't keep the same angle.
Check ya chain tension buddy I'd guess it's a little lose and touching the tyre.... Chain side only? Tyre wear looks perfect to me.... And most tracks eat the right hand side of tyre first
My CBR1000RR does not have traction control... ... it doesn't have twat control either... I've increased rebound.
The pattern is too regular to be chain damage never mind the fact it's got a full length chain guard in the picture. Compression or rebound damping is my take, that or ya cornering on the rev limiter thus imitating TC
It touches on the underside at the front of the wheel... Not the top, when sitting on the bike may be tight but say, fully extended over the mountain etc.... It then is lose and can move laterally touching the tyre and little chunks out the tyre. But your right it is very consistent - which is the only sight difference to what mine looked like when it done it other than that it's identical.... To get such perfect wear all over the tyre except the edge would suggest it's nothing to do with suspension.... Unless TC as stated which can 'pulse' the power.... But that's clearly ruled out. AS HE DOESNT HAVE IT
