    Hi

    I need help!

I'm in need of a picture of a swingarm w/o the large stickers, modell 08-11 cbr1k with black frame.

Honda over here is being a jerk about a claim with my swingarm and they want pictures of my swingarm without peeling problems after the stickers where removed.
I bought the bike in Feb (used) and there were no stickers on it but no peeling either.

Peeling started about 3-4 weeks ago, I've neved used harsh chemicals on the swingarm. It peels off if I just rub it a bit with my fingers.

See image below of which part and my problem... If more of the bike is seen the colours need to be of the black/candy red model.

I'll take a few at lunch time for ya... Can then get it into Photobucket for ya as well... I don't have the same colour bike as you, so I will try a few shots from close so that the colour of the bike is irrelevant...

I have a gold chain though... But my bike is really dirty now, so that should work out ok!!

Just looked at your photo again... My belly pan is blue... Not sure how I will manage a shot without it in there, cuz its either blue belly pan, gold rims, or red hugger, all of which will show it is a different bike...

    But I will try..........

Nevermind. Honda WILL NOT take it under warranty since the stickers are removed. I got a final answer a few minutes ago. Let that be a reminder, do not remove any stickers anywhere! ......

    WHAT??? REALLY?!?!?!?! That is ABSURD!!!

I will have to have a word with my dealer, as they sold me an extended warranty, on a used bike with no stickers anywhere!!!

Yes, I think so too. I'm just too freakin' tired to give a sh¤t right now though. And I'm of to Thailand on monday so I'll hopefully get to think about other things instead.
Thanks for the offered help though, appreciate it!

cashflow is low a.t.m. I'll clean it up now so it's peel-free and probably fix it during winter.

This isn't Honda Europe, but a "private" company that has the sole rights for importing Honda Motorcycles to Sweden. Might be different for you in the UK. If it would've been Honda Europe and Honda Sweden that was responsible it would probably not be a problem.

The thing is, I'm not even 100% sure if it's a clear coat or a protective layer _over_ the clearcoat (since it's where the chain-oil will drip). The stuff that comes off when
rubbing is also black-ish, not clear.

AHHH, Sweden, ok, didn't check your location...
Hope you get it sorted one way or another... Powder Coating sounds like the best bet to me, but I know little about that kind of stuff...

Giving it one more shot, calling Honda MC Sweden directly tomorrow morning. Wish workshops and such was as cheap here as in the UK/US then I wouldn't even bother :(

Update: According to Honda MC Sweden, Honda EUROPE says no to my claim due to the fact that the stickers on the swingarm are removed.
