2005 1000rr engine rattle

    Been for a quick ride this eve on my blade its got 11k on and full history. Iv noticed when cruising and revs are between 2 and 3k there is a slight engine rattle? Its the same hot and cold and dissappears when the revs increase. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Mine does this too but is more of a "ticking" noise so I just make sure to keep it above 3000 rpm as it doesnt sound that serious. I can hear it more with ear plugs in too.

    Thats it not a nasty rattle at all just strange i wondered if it was the injectors opening and closing that i could hear as if there anything like common rail injectors on cars there really loud

    I should add that it is not that noticable on mine and only when its not under any real load or on a closed throttle. Sounds sweet as at 11500 rpm, helped no doubt by the Akrapovic can.

    Mine has a pinging sound if I try and accelerate at really low revs, goes away over about 3k from memory, just getting used to it now as I have been told its normal.
