    Hi All

Ok, I know it's still only February, but I've already bought a new rear type for the coming season and suppose I also ought to get the bike serviced before I put too many miles on it!

So..... Can any of you recommend where I can get my 2005 Blade serviced in / around the Hastings / Battle area?

I'm aware of JS Gedge in Ore (Hastings), but was wondering whether any of you know any good independents...? You know; the type of mechanics that service a bike like it's their own.

Bike's going to have a few trips the other side of the channel this year - got a couple of short weekends in the Champagne / Ardennes region, and a week in the south of France in the Pyrenees.... Can't wait!

Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Why not do it yourself mate? It's pretty easy stuff. If it's just an oil and filter change then it's a half hour job. What's the mileage as if it's 16 or 32 then the valves should be checked and that will more than likely require a shop with specialist tools. I've serviced mine for the past five years and its really not difficult at all, air filter etc are simple to replace but plugs are a pain in the ass!

One piece of advice as you have an 05, if not already replaced with an updated matched pair get the stator/ flywheel replaced as they are a very common fail on the 04/05 bike and you don't want to be stranded in Europe with that failed.
