As above and yes i know it wont suit everyone but it would be nice to say hello to fellow members ......and as the (Cadwell) trackday meet was a wash out..... does it seem possible for either a NEC show meet, or try another trackday meet or takeover of a town with a blade meet ?? (remember Mad Max) lol ??
Anythings possible mate. Could be a logistical nightmare, but good bloody fun. All we really need is guaranteed weather. Fat fcukin chance.
I'll be popping down to the NEC again this year for the show. Won't be travelling down and back in 1 day like the last time. 9 hours driving is too much even for me.
I'll be going to the NEC but chances are it will be on the train so I can have a beer or two or in the car because of the weather!
Sounds like a plan. We did this last year and a few of us met up. I think this time though I'll head down the day before so that we can go for a few beers and a curry. That way we can all have a proper chat.
I expect my gf and I will go as well and maybe my lad, if we do you are more than welcome to get a lift as we pass Abingdon on the way up the A34
I'd be up for a meet. (I'll be at Loomies tomorrow at 10:00ish) but yeah NEC bikeshow meet sounds like a plan.
For a late summer / pre NEC meet a good location geography wise and of interest to make it worth heading to is the National Memorial Arboretum near Litchfield in Staffordshire - its there as its pretty central to the UK, has a cafe / toilets / parking etc. - a 13:00 meet time and leave by 15:00 with everyone attending on bikes is prob. best way to run it - I'd pass on a ride out, but those heading home in similar directions can always do that. Other than that, set a Saturday as the 'Forum meet day' early on at the NEC to allow those who need hotels to book in advance and make travel arrangements. Just my thoughts, but both above ideas have worked well in the past.
That is similar - not so far apart and more facilities like cafes etc. Ash - you want to set a Sunday for this as prob. best day - maybe mid September to give time to plan and avoid holidays?
Do you want to see if anyone else has other suggestions... Where do you find the members location map on the site ???/
I would start a new thread, '2012 National Forum meet - Matlock Bath Derbyshire Sunday the xyz of whenever' I would just pick a day, there are ALWAYS people who cannot make a certain date, I cannot make the 22nd, best to set a date and go for it
