Urgent help needed, stranded!

    Battery died at asda so I put jump leads from car to bike and now I have no power to the dash at all !! Have I blown a fuse? Where is that fuse located etc?

    5 amp fuse located just behind battery, in black box for dash.have you got any lights ? Hope you get home ok matey

    Fuses were ok but connections were a bit furry all cleaned up and now home, just very sweaty as stood around hours in leathers! Time for a shower

    Glad your back ok mate, gutting when you get stranded, my PCV took a dump had to push bike miles to a garage then strip it down in there forecourt, got home in the end but don't expect things like that to happen do you !

    Yesterday when I met up with Remal I had to strip my starter switch down to get my bike to run as it fooked up again. It's £55 for a new one WTF!

    I guess it wouldn't bump start? Ive had to bump start on my own before and its ok as long as you can get enough speed up.

    Bump started mine once, the dash lit up like a christmas tree with all the warning lights.

    Obviously scared the life out of me as I thought I may have fried the ECU or something.

    Blood hell pal, hope it all works out ok, i thought jump starting a bike with a car was frowned upon or is this just urban myth ?

    No, I've tried to fix it but it's fubard! Just wondering it they are the same switch on the 08 onwards as there's on on ebay for £30,

    Wouldn't bump as fuel pump wasnt even priming up

    Not supposed too but was desperate, I think it's something to do with difference in amps, turned out to just to needed some contact cleaner in the end
