I have just bought a small Honda hugger that Honda do not recommend on an abs model, any of you guys put one on with any issues? Will it hit the under tray etc?

Ps bought it off of Pinkser, thanks mate nice deal, I new when I bought it it may not fit?[IMG][IMG]

I have 1 fitted to mine at the moment, but it will be coming off as soon as I can find a descent replacement. The tyre ends up rubbing away at the hugger for some reason. Both myself and Bats have experienced this. I don't know why it does it.

If it's a small style hugger that you like then R&G do a nice neat 1 for the ABS model now. It's pricey though for a bit of plastic.

Also Harris do a carbon fibre version that looks the mutts. I'll try and find the thread that I started a few weeks ago.

There is a reason the ABS bike doesnt come with a hugger, clearance. The abs servo (under the tail) gets in the way and will rub on compression. Get the R & G tidy if you want to waste 130 quid to save some mud splatter on shock! I personally just clean mine when it gets dirty followed by some protective spray :)

    Just my 2 cents

I'm liking the look of your Blade, I 've got the same model. I notice you've got different infills below the seat and tank, are they carbon and where did you get them from?

You've also taken the pillion footrests off, was that a job you done yourself or did a dealer do it and was it a big job?

Sorry to go on but the balck gromets in the frame, where did you get them.

The original post - I've got the Honda hugger fitted and up to now no problems from it.

yeah you wont have any issues fitting it. So buy looking at your picture you have a few inches worth of clearance between the hugger and the servo box!!??!!!. So when you hit a nice big bump, or even have a pillion, you might be in for a shock...ask any honda dealer.

I've had no issues at all, that includes landing a jump off a hump back bridge ;) and hitting a couple of pot holes.

With full riding kit on, i'm 16 stone plus add another stone when i'm carrying a backpack and it still hasn't made contact.

I've got the r&g one on my 2012 abs bike. As has been said, a lot of money for a bit of plastic, but so's a lot of stuff and at least it has a useful function :)

    Looks pretty good too IMO.
