New Lid

Had to buy a new lid yesterday - Shark Speed R Sauer M due to some twat knocking the side pod off my Arai wi and the visor not wanting to stay in place (3 weeks for the fu**ing parts).

Will be testing it (hopefully ) over the next few weeks so will let you all know.
First thing I noticed yesterday was how much quieter it was than my Arai !!
Plus the bloody visor is about 4 mm thick !!
Overall, good first impressions.

 

Im looking at a shark lid when i visit the nec later in the year as my lid doesnt offer much noise reduction. maybe the s900 if i can get 1 at a good price

 

I looked at one of those Speed R Sauer and was impressed with it. Looked like a really well-built piece of kit. I was all set to buy it but came up against my eternal problem of it not fitting my head shape so I had to pass. Ended up buying an HJC R-Pha which, after 5 or 6 rides, it has become painfully apparent that it doesn't fit my head shape either. Too much room at either side. I'm going to have to sell it on eBay. Gutted. No doubt going to lose a bit on that deal.

Thing is, i don't like logos on kit, and the bell logo is lacquered over.....

 

Yeah you're a bit knackered there. Unless you cover it up with tape or something.

A guy came to Rivi barn the other Sun with bell lid... it was so light...lightest in class iirc, and very well made. I will prob go for one of them i think?

 

do like that m6 lid,was alos looking at the airoh gp500

 

maybe if you didnt wear your "night cap" underneath your helmet then they might fit a little better rich

 

I bought that to pad out the HJC just a tad

 

The customer who came in here with the Desmo the other day had that top lid in the pics.
