What do you guys use \ recommend? wanted something of a reasonable size, nothing too big! but should be able to get spare clothes \ trainers etc in there.. oh and being waterproof would help.. Also is a waist pack bag of any use? would it make the ride uncomfortable?
http://www.visordown.com/product-news/knox-release-new-k-pack-backpack/18084.html I ve got the previous version......good bag for the money.....get all your bits in.....(hunt for best prices)
i was looking at them...there very expensive...! but i guess you get what you pay for! Was looking at the R35 - quite afew on ebay..are they huge?
thanks Rob - i will have a look.. http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/205109/Luggage/Rucksacks-and-Hand-Luggage/Knox you think 25l is big enough to carry spare clothes and other little bits and bobs in..?
Another vote for Kriega, particularly if you have it on your back for more than an hour. The 4-way harness is much better than traditional rucksack straps as it spreads the load better and is much easier to get on and off. The harness keeps it centred on your back rather than having it sit too low. The R25 is plenty to get trainers, change of clothes and toiletries, etc. Build quality is second to none and they're a UK firm too.
Yeah man that's massive, I have a r15 an does me fine for everyday and possible an overnight to a pals or something, r20 I think would suit more as over 20ltrs you really don't want to be carrying for more than a few hours anyway. Trust me, I done a weeks luggage (not a kreiga) on my back to Germany!! Lol (didn't want to fcuk up the blades paint with soft luggage - ironic really) Are expensive but mine is 5 years old now and other than bug strikes looks brand new
Well, sounds good.. I need a everyday bag, R15 looks good for every day use - so will invest in one.. Kriega R15 Rucksack | FREE Delivery | Infinity Motorcycles Unsure if i should go for the R20 or R25 - will not be used much, though when used will be for 1-3 hours of riding + staying in hotels (so need to carry clothes and essentials) .. http://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/product/kriega-r20-rucksack/474 http://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/product/kriega-r25-rucksack/249 Its a tough call..
You mean the us10? Yes mate, they all bolt on to each other... Great stuff you can add the 10 ltr to your tail pak or rucksack for more room. Makes all their stuff very flexible.
i just noticed the clips on the front - that's just wicked! quick fastening! Have ordered the R20 from Demon Tweaks - Neil did me a deal as i just order 2 pairs of gloves too... So want the R15 for every day use! but must no right now... spending tooo much money!
Kriega mate, read what the others have said. Top gear and lasts for ages, so money well spent. nuff said.
I've complemented my R25 with one of these which are wicked for holding phone, cash + cards for easy access at petrol stations: Motorcycle Luggage - Kriega Kube Pocket *NB. they are NOT water-proof, though!
Are the bags waterproof - i forgot to check that! nice little add-on..for £15! its water resistant, should be ok unless it starts pi$$ing! I am just hoping the R20 is big enough for what i need to get in there...
The bags are water-resistant, to an extent. The only issue I've had has been in heavy rain with the spray coming up so the bottom gets a bit damp but nothing serious. I usually pack stuff in carrier bags anyway, so they're kept nice and dry. The Kube pocket takes a lot of spray from where I've got it, which is on the lower right strap to stop it rubbing on the tank.
