The Boom stays fitted to the helmet, the electronics mount to it (push fit) so it can be moved between lids, removed for charging or USB connections away from the lid. Once the G4's paired to another unit it stays paired, so when you talk it links, after 20 seconds if no activity it drops the connection and your MP3 for example kicks back in. Talk again, the link to the other headsets regained.

Pairing the scala with other G4's and bluetooth devices is simple, using it is easy once you get used to it. If I had my Iphone before the Garmin I proberbly wouldn't have bought the Garmin, I find I listen to directions rather than watch the screen.

Si, are you able to post up a closer pic, as i am trying to figure out how your mic sits?

I was speaking to Scala, and they said the G9 has some better voice commands, as well as smaller mic and better speaker.

Also am able to activate and deactivate the MP3 & FM radi via voice commands..

Costs is little more then a G4...

Am going through the video tutorials - seems like a good product..

It's an ultimate addons iphone ram mount. You need a Telferizer from Bob at telferizer too.

That'll do, make sure it does a2dp though. Try it first, not all Bluetooth does a2dp for voice directions, you can get a scala g4 for around £100 now, and earlier versions are cheaper. :)

Yup, that's the one that's popular among a few of us now...top bit of kit, and keeps moisture out even in a monsoon!

what's the cheapest blue tooth headphone set i can get..?

really just need it for directions from tomtom, maybe taking calls, and listening to music on long motorway journeys..

is it loud in the lid...? easy to hear with all the wind \ exhaust noise?
