I've seen 3 bike couriers today all riding like nobbers. Is it their time of the month at the moment, or something?

One of them rode up to a pedestrianised paved area, got off his bike, wheeled it with engine still running past a No Entry sign, through hoards of people walking around, across 2 pelican crossings and onto the road whereby he got back on and rode off! It saved him all of 30 seconds from having to follow the road round properly and get back to where he wanted to go!

Another rode on the wrong side of the road to turn right at a T-junction (on the road that is to give way), going against a Keep Left sign for the island (one of my pet peeves) and causing the traffic that was correctly turning right to stop to have to let him go.

With reference to another thread, if I was on my bike I'd be giving him the shaky-head treatment!

I do wonder how some of them last the week!!

It saves them all of a few seconds and some of their riding is questionable, yet most of them think they are proper superstar riders.... Don't get me wrong, I'm sure lots of them are mustard, but some are just plain stupid / dangerous.

Often wonder how much they earn to run that gauntlet each day??

    Pizza delivery riders.

The thing with them is that after all these years of watching them even I am beginning to think they may be indestructible.

Many years ago I worked in London doing the same thing,
The lads on bikes then used to earn between £150/300 a day
depending on how many packages needing delivering and how far
    They had to travel ,

Sean Emmett was a motor cycle courier, honed his skills nicely. What about the cycle couriers - now they are mad!

I don't think it's the money it used to be - I've read (was a big feature in one of the mags) in the hey day many were on 50k plus and dodging tax big time but alot of them got caught out and hit hard with tax bills...

Rande - think he might have had the talent already? Lol think shakey b done it also before becoming a journo then racer. And yeah, the bike ones are crazy mofo's
