after the pummelling my arse took on the northern run on sunday(nothing to do with blaggers ,as he was not present)

i emptied my wallet to the tune of £181 for the comfort seat.
this was after speaking to a couple of the group ,who said that it makes a massive difference to comfort on a long run.
i figure it this way .. the last one sold second hand for £125 plus postage ,so if i use it for a few years then sell it on , the money i get back will offset the massive outlay.
Plus my ass wont feel like it has been on a japanese game show.

Your ass will love you and your wallet for that generous gesture, they are a lot of $$ but boy they're comfy. :D

You could get your seat re-cushioned/ customised for your bike mate. I had mine done for the Blackbird. I'll try n find the thread I posted it in. I rode to Skye, a 6 hour trip on it and it makes a big difference.

    Here's the link.

Honda Blackbird Touring Comfort Custom Seats CBR 1100 | eBay

I spoke to him about doing my blade, and he said he'd do it for £45 with me giving him my seat to do the work. Otherwise it'd be more as he would buy 1 for me and re-do that 1.
Turn around is about a week for him to get it back to you.

My arse is obviously much more resilient. Then again I went to boarding school so I guess that's to be expected.

I might look into 1 of these as after leaving hartside i my arse cried enough and it turned into quite a painful ride home

i was waiting for d.f.s to have a 50% off sale ,with 4years 0% interst and nothing to pay for the first year ,but they dont seem to do it on the honda seat....
come to think of it some of their 3 piece suites are cheaper than the bloody honda seat.

I bought a corbin seat for mine mate, it's reprofiled compared with the standard seat and makes quite a difference!

    Here's a quick pic: [IMG]
