No interest in my Blade

    Went out for a ride out with my brother and pulled in to a regular bike stop. My bike a Brand new Repsol looking good parked up next to my brothers bike and no one even acknowledged that it was even there, too flaming busy looking over his Ducati 1098S with lots of mods!
    I got the impression that everyone wanted me to move mine out of the way so they can get a better look at his bike

    People always like a bit of Italian exotica with all the right names all over it. I'd rather have a blade any day though.

    Yep, it was the same with us when we were in Italy, Jeanette couldn't keep her eyes off the Italian geezers despite having a god on her arm.

    The problem isn't that it's a Fireblade, the problem is it's a Repsol - too bloody common! [​IMG]

    Kpone,i had the same problem as Jeanette when i was in Italy.My eye were as big as dinner plates all week.My Hubby started putting his hand over my eyes to stop me looking.They wear very tight Speedo`s in yellow....... i love Italy..:D

    Me too Ash, I feel comfortable there like nowhere else on the continent, even if I couldn't get a poke in a fire there.

    What happened to " there there Carl don't worry, those ignorant people know nothing about bikes, we like your bike" now that's the patronising support I was soliciting, not the Repsol's common it's the scratch etc. etc.

    When I got my 07 Repsol the sales guy said "only 300 in the Uk" ok then I said I'll take it.....week later I said.....how many are there in the Uk again mate? 300 he said why? Coz all 300 were at Alton Cafe last night that's why! :)

    I reckon there are more RED 1098s around then there are Repsol Hondas....

    yup you are probably right.

    I noticed the opposite over here, got my duke
    and other riders started ignoring me at the local
    bike stop.usually they would come over and chat
    but probably thought that with the duke I wasnt
    a real biker and more a cheque book jockey.

    My brothers Ducati is black with factory painted red wheels. The wheels are the colour of the frame and does look good, but that's not the point.

    The only factory 1098-848 that I know with red wheels was the white 848 they did it as a LE paint job... never seen a black 1098 with red wheels I'm sure it looks nice... I have BSTs in my 848 :D

    I went for a ride down to Hastings with two mates who had a K8 GSXR600 and a Hyousung 650. The Hyosung seemed to get all the attention!
