lol, I had "Ducati Envy" so in 2008 I went to see what all the fuss was about, big mistake! Ended up with the little 848 for B road blasts... Still loving it... Hope you dont mind but heres some pics Me and a mate who also test rode an Evo and part ex'ed his 2010 GSXR750LE for the stelth black
Hi Carl, you can't expect sympathy here mate. If a Repsol Blade is as common as a Ford Mondeo, then my S1000RR must be a BMW 3 series
i do love that bike!! personally think all the italian exotica are awesome but would only own one as a sunday best bike....
I was with a customer once when my Bosses son turned up on his brand spanking new R1. I asked the geezer if he'd mind if I just popped out to have a quick look. "I'll come with you," he said. "I don't know anything about motorbikes, but I could do with stretching my legs". So we walked around the side of the building and there was my boss and his son poring over this sparkly Yamaha, with my ancient 750ss parked up behind it. "Hey!" proclaims the bike novice. "Whose Ducati is that?" Capiche?
My bike just got loads of attention thos morning at hein gerrick in Oxford and I think it's a bit of a dog and still needs some more love before its at a standard I like. But then again it is black so is super fast and I bought a pair or white alpinestars SMX plus boots whilst I was there so it will be even faster now with the power of "white boots". You repsol boys will cry at the shear awesomeness of speed this will bring
I agree black is really really really fast I know this because Freedom of choice told me! When I bought the new bike I asked the for a black one and had it painted with the Repsol colour so I have a very fast Repsol, best of both I would say!
Right...... outside now, and pick which hospital you wish to be taken too !!!..... and i don't even own one, i have a 954 but love the Repsol and will not hear a bad word said against them.
It made my chuckle this evening at a massively packed out H-cafe when a brand spanking Aprillia RSV4 turned up and a few people went to have a gander and then less than 2 minutes later a 1930/1940's Harley Davidson 'bomber' type bike turned up and parked next to it, the RSV4 didn't get a look in from that moment on even from the sports bike riders.
Carl can you bring some photos of your bros bike on Saturday I am sure fordy and fireblade 46 would love to see it.
Well the Repsol appears to stir both positive and negative emotions, it's like city or united, reds or blues? I'm quite happy with the Repsol, and I respect all of you with dull boring colour schemes, i just need a mr whippy sticker and sound system belting out an electronic rendition of Green Sleeves, can anyone help me to this regard?
Thing is mate - Bye the time your blade has done £30k miles, there will be 100 ducati's that have broken down is some way or another, with riders permanently looking for coppers down the side of the sofa to pay for it. So yeah, they do look good - but your bank balance looks way better for buying the blade
A lot of people don't know a good thing when they see it! Just because a lot of people look at something dosen't mean it's any good, look at how many people will look at dog shit on a pavement!!
