Anyone got the Honda Hugger like myself on a ABS blade. had no issues with fitment but wanting to fit a 55 rear profile Will it fit without hitting the hugger
Nearly went there but bottled it and just got the 50 i did ask around and even the bike tyre place and Hunts but no stright answer so its a chance it job unless someone on here says different.
I don’t think the issue is the space between the tyre and the hugger, its more to do with the space between the abs "box of tricks" under the back of the bike lower down and the hugger which is not an issue unless your Billy Bunter with Mrs Billy Bunter on the back on the way back from McDonalds which case it could hit it under heavy compression, at least that’s what my local dealer said when I asked if they could fit the hugger when I brought my 2011 abs. don’t take my word for it though, best ask someone with more than an ounce of common sense.
Are you running a standard rear sprocket ? I tried a +2 spocket with standard chain which moved the wheel forwards into the hugger and it was very close. I've gone back to standard now but even that was just about ok. Try gentle squeezing the brackets either side of the hugger inwards. This makes it sit higher and narrower. I've got 15 - 20mm clearance on mine.
Lol. I've been barking up the wrong tree here. I thought you meant the standard 'short' version. Helps if I read the posts correctly
