Right, as you know I have 2 blades, both RR5’s.

One is un-insured and declared off road, the other I use.

MOT is due for the bike I do not use…

So I called up my insurance company and asked for a day’s cover so that I can get this bike MOT’d…

Sorry sir, we don’t allow the addition of another bike temporally – you will need to add it till the end of your policy + there will be a £25 admin charge.

    WTF…!

But they check the frame number against the registration.

Can't you put it in a van and just roll it into the garage?

no van, and cant really roll down the M11.. lol

They will only do that if i get pulled and the suspect something..otherwise the normal checks will show all is the same..

but will ask my brother to check his insurance company as they may not be ass holes like the ones i am insured with.

Its just on my little ktm
Some bike garages will pick your bike up for a small fee when its broken so they may do it for an mot, worth asking

Seems fair enough. Why would you need an MOT, but no insurance or tax?

    Still don't understand :)
Is an MOT not pointless without insurance and tax?

Does your current insurance policy not allow you to ride other bikes third party?

I know both my car and bike policies allow me to drive other vehicles.

It only allows you to ride bikes not owned by you tho, so if the bikes are registered in your name you won't be insured to ride them.
Plus I think the bike has to be insured by the owner, for your insurance to cover you on it.
