It's official, new blade to get new fangled traction control and anti wheelie device - apparently it's called a throttle and works by being able to be closed as well as opened !!

Don't tell anybody but the new model won't use petrol either - its going to be an 'air pump' motor, you'll have a compressed air tank on the bike and the motor will run off it instead. Honda specs are quoted as 172bhp and approx 218 miles between fill ups - which will be £4.20 per tank full in the UK.
The thing is so green that it will incur zero fuel or road fund taxation, exhaust gas output will be in the region of -10/-15c so the government will pay us money to run the bike as it will offset global warming !!
Fantastic news from good old Honda !

I'd like to join Rob in congratulating the massed ranks of 1000rr.co.uk in generating 15,000 peoples worth of hot air. I've also heard that Honda will be calling upon us to harness similar fart gas to fuel the biomass generator at the heart of the new 2012 FireBlade.

    Well done lads!...Well done!

Can only Imagine the Tsunami Wave of Threads generated when this 2012 Model finally comes out.

Aren't there any Dealer Shows your way ? They usually get the first Formal peak. Before that though something usually leaks out.

With all the Infinite Wisdom and Power of an Offical CBR Website, where is that first Photo ?

We have to shake that tree alittle harder.

I have also heard that Honda has told there dealers that they must give customers a good price on p/x exchanges for the new Fireblade as there is a recession

I need to stop watching old episodes of the X files....... i am beginning to hear things

A "tsunami wave of threads". I like it. What would be the correct collective noun?

    A carpet of threads?

    A fence of posts?

Not much change for what i can see, apart from dash, front fairing and lights and a smaller can. I would be pissed off it was totally different as i bought mine new in Jan, but i'll be keeping it for a few years now as the change isn't radical. looks nice though!

Well i wont be rushing to the dealers for a trade in. I dont dis like it as it looks pretty much the same but a more futuristic .. I need to see it in the flesh and know how much more cash they want for it lol
