    Hi

Didn't realize there was a UK 1000RR forum! Copied my thread from the US forum...

Thought I'd post some pictures of my '08 CBR1000RR. I bought the bike back in November and did my first trackday a few weeks after. The trackday bug really has bitten and I go once every 6-8 weeks to Sepang, in Malaysia. Awesome GP circuit.

The bike originally started as this:

And this is how it looks today:

Few pics from last months trackday:

    Things I've fitted:

Armour Bodies fairing (with Honda Legends TT paintwork)
    Lightech adjustable rearsets
    Motovation fork,axle and frame sliders
    Zero gravity screen
    Leo Vince SBK slip-on
    Bazzaz Z-FI (Quickshifter+Traction Control+Self Mapper+ Handlebar TC/Map switch)
    Brembo RC front pads
    ASV F3 short levers
    Venhill brake lines
    GB Racing engine covers
    BMC air-filter
    Glpro gear indicator
    Renthal soft grips

Currently run Pirelli Supercorsa SC2 tyres (which last around one weekend.. ouch)

Things planned in the near future:

Ohlins R&T forks + TTX Rear
    520 chain & -1 front +2 rear
Carbonfibre swing arm, frame protectors and air-tubes

    Thanks for looking :)

Now that is a bloody nice bike !!

I love how you have fitted race fairing and its road legal, The tail is awesome and the lower fairing is better than any infill panel

Real good work there mate. If we had a bike of the month on this site it would have my vote!

If you have pics of how you fitted the tail then please start a new thread and share your wisdom lol

    Cheers!

The tail, well all the subframe plastic was removed, including the lights. Only a small bracket holds the rear number plate (on a DZUS fastener).

I'll take some pics soon of the tail removed to show you whats underneath.

Very nice, that's some pretty insane lean angle you have in the last photo, I can't imagine it had much further to go before sliding down the track :p

That is gorgeous, you don't see too many left hand drive ones on here.

Wouldn't say it's left-hand drive as such. Ride on the same side as the UK (I'm based in Singapore). The LTA (same as the DVLA) doesn't care which side the head lit is on when you go for the inspection (MOT). Only reason why the light is on the left is because the unit I sourced to cut in half was damaged on the right.

    rear tail section removed.

Here's a few pics of the tail section off as requested by Dan. It's 7 dzus fasteners (on the undertray) and two bolts on the top. As you can see, there isn't much left underneath. The black unit is the Bazazz system.

So did you just carefully cut out the headlight shape from the track fairing and it all lined up ok? Or was there more to it..

Also, are there any MOT requirements for full beam??

I'd really like to do this mod..

The LTA here in Singapore don't really care about the lights. I rarely ride at night as well, so it's not an issue.

I had a garage trace out the headlight shape from my OEM fairing and then cut out the hole on the race fairing. Pain in the ass of a job for them, but thats how I wanted it. It lines up ok. but I need to tweak the bracket to get it good. It's not OEM fit, but what did I expect on aftermarket fairing!
