As some will know I don’t do rain (I have a car for that) but having been caught out on the way back from the Ace Cafe meet up I have been thinking about getting some emergency waterproofs. I have been looking at the Alpinestars Quick Seal out jacket and trousers and wondering, as I have an Alpinestars GP pro I piece suit size 52 what size to get. I emailed Demon Tweeks who very kindly replied to say that the M was the right size as they are slightly over size to accommodate leathers underneath. However, the spanner in the works will be the hump on the back. Ok they will change M for a L if it’s an issue but then the trousers will be huge. I only want something thin and therefore able to pack down as small as possible so they can just be bungee clipped onto the rear seat cover or into a back pack etc

Anyone got any bright ideas please.

I'm looking in to this too so will be keen to hear what others recommend. I gave heard good things about a spidi jacket with in-built hump, and then I guess you'll need a pair of trousers too. I'll let you know if I find it.

Freedom, get out and get it wet mate, just think of the fun you can have cleaning it afterwards. If you ever do venture out in the rain then use Alpinestars RJ5 Jacket and RP5 trousers. They have kept me dry in torrential rain and spray (which is actually much worse than rain).

Bit of a squeeze with the hump, but they will fit over it

I bought an oversized Mack in a Pack with trousers to match from JD Sports. Cost about a £10 and i tried them on in the changing rooms while wearing a coat and baggy jeans to make sure they went over.

Ive since worn them on a track day and a wet ride back from the coast and they've been fine.

I have a £10 Decathlon XL jacket that I put over leathers that keeps most of the rain out, and hiking / outdoor overtrousers - what I need is decent waterproof gloves - boots I can tollerate with sealskin socks or plastic bags lol

Frank Thomas RainMaster top is designed to accommodate a hump. It's cheap, but getting it on is a e person affair. You'll also need separate bottoms.

Rev'It or Jonny Jacket are other options.

By far the best rain jacket is the HELD wet race jacket.
you can put it on unassisted it has been shaped including a hump and is the best quality I've raced in.
    awesome bit of kit.

Thanks Fella, looks good and interesting to hear you can get it on without help, something I can’t do with my leathers! Quick question does it pack down nice a small, i.e. into a back pack or better still under the tail unit on a 2011.
