I think it's so cheap because the 2nd gen one is out

But I still reckon this is a superb deal

if I did not have one I would be getting it. Plus the Costco extra cover you get makes it worth it 110%

The results you can get from one of these if you edit in HD is simply superb - with a bit of time to setup mounts to get a solid mount and some time to edit and you have broadcast quality images of your trip. They are so easy to use and compact.

Can you tell I'm a fan!

Where are you mounting cameras as i took a vertical cam out yesterday to try on a threaded mount on the front cowl. The engine vibrations made the whole thing unwatchable.

on my 08 I fit in the centre of the nose cone, just between the headlamps as its the only solid bit of the fairing.
At the back of the bike I use a sideways mount on the tail section
Others have got really good results by screwing a mount onto the top of an R&G bung - catches front wheel and suspension movement in image.

As said - loads of test runs needed and use open / closed rear panel, different settings (R3 gives very smooth footage)

Can recommend them fully, I bought the Motorsport version last year for about the same price, normally mount mine on the side fairing about half way down and the footage is spot on (2011 Repsol) or on the seat cowl for the rear view !

a few tips, a bit of gaffer tape on the centre of the mount helps reduce vibration. fits tighter oww errr
Mounted on the nose, good vid but is too open for my liking, needs something you can see on the bike to give you a better feeling of angle and speed

But having the Go pro mounted on the side of the nose fairing looks better to me

    like this

you can see the Go pro mounted on the edge of the bike, also a mount on the front nose
