Having lived on my own on and off for 28 yrs you would have thought i'd be able to cobble together something other than the usual...... beans on toast, egg n chips, pot noodle, salad...etc But nobody has shown me and it all seemed too complicated. However, with the bank holiday weather being shite, and the bike tucked away, my ever patient gf decided to take me in hand (fnaar fnaar) and teach me to cook. 'cos it's easy' she says. Well, since thursday, we have had: roast chicken, all the trimmings.....stuffing, roast spuds, apple sauce, veg, gravy. Lamb cooked with onions n carrots with potatoes n gravy, herbs n spices. Homemade burgers with 'pont neuf' ,. Brushetta con rustica, mascaponie summat or other, spaghetti n meatballs in tomato and hot pepper sauce and my favourite so far........rice pudding with all the burnt bits!!!! Everything has been homemade by my own fair hands. I am suitably impressed by Trishs' ability to teach evem me, and absoluteley gobsmacked when it turns out right. Home made sun dried tomato bread next on the list. :)

hehe... good on yer. Cooking is a big passion for me...love it. Lee, Firebloke and i were talking at the last rideout, and we are all into good cooking... we would starve if we wernt mate. You'll be looking at pairing knives next and a coffee machine for after eats, and some soufflé dishes for the inevitable. :D

    Well done Blags.
I love taking charge with the cooking.
Nothing more satisfying than eating something actually prepared by your own fair hands.

That said, I'm having a takeaway tonight :D

Well done mate a new man, eh.

Wish I could see the point, food has always been just fuel for me. Jeanette love food and loves to cook, then I spoil it by pit stopping and fecking off afterwards.

Ah, just one of the drawbacks of being married. I suit myself. Still cant change them pesky duvet covers in under 10 mins. GF's best lap was about 40 secs, I just cant do it.
