I made a right balls of getting home. The fuel light came on in the middle of nowere and once i got to the traffic lights at the Red Fox i had to decide do i go left for home and chance it to the garge at Sandiway (tough call ) or turn right and head on the main road to Natwich (which i dont know) and assume there will be fuel within a couple of miles ''wrong'' after riding at 50mph for f**king ages in the dark thinking anytime now thats it ,i ended up in the centre of Nantwich at a late Morrisons which took £20.65p worth off me so must have been low .Had a spirited ride back though!

I did the self same thing last week and made the same wrong decision. In the end I saw an all night Spar over the top of the hedge and almost took out my mate when I braked for the turn. Never been so glad to put 22 quid's worth of supermarket piss into one of my vehicles.

I usually run of the second trip for fuel. On a good day there's about 150 miles worth in the tank so when it gets to 100 miles I'll fill up. I had the first trip on display and didn't bother to flick it over. Jumped on the bike to come home and the orange light of mockery came on immediately, too late to fill up at the 9:00 pm stations and 25 miles from home. Dick head!

There's two mileage trip meters on the dash mate as well as the odometer. It the nearest I've got to a fuel gauge. Every time I fill up I reset one to 0, then when it gets to the ton I'll pull in. They switch over, one to t'other. This time I had the wrong one on display.

Yep, usually trip A and B Barney. I keep B As a record of the total miles I've done on a trip and A as a fuel/milage indication. Each time I refuel reset A to Zero. Just helps to keep tabs.
