Unfortunately, after much thought and deliberation I have decided to sell the bike !

A few things have caused this decision

    1. The lack of time I have to enjoy the bike.
    2. The three near misses this year
    3. The three good friends I have lost on the road, one recently with a 1 week old daughter.
    4. The new job is a commute to far and a better car is needed so the bike will provide the cash I need.

So today I stripped off a lot of bits, just a few bits to go then the bike will be advertised and once sold the bling bits will be available on here :)

I don't intend to give up biking, a track bike will be bought as I don't enjoy road riding that much anymore, and it will be a blade :)

I will still be on the forum, unfortunately ;) as I enjoy the people, the gossip and the banter.

But just thought I'd let you all know before you see the bike on bike trader or eBay lol

sad to see you sell up but if the con's outweigh the pro's
for you then maybe its time to move on.hope you get sorted
with a track bike soon and dont blow all the money on a cage ;)

Terrible news - same thing happened to me with loss of a good mate - few years off but the bug never went - I did not replace it with a trackday toy so to speak.
have you considered booking a mick extance day in North Wales and trying enduro / trail riding as an alternative hobby? Much cheaper than trackdays - his is £195 for everything for a full day.

Your bike always looked mint - sure somebody will take it (Barney??)

Sod that! Jamie's loaded and will be running trackdays for fun now! Lol

Dude, as said if it's the right time then so be it, plus we now have two bikes in team hrc. ;) although we might need a wall if you prove too slick lol

Ps - first dibs on the exhaust.

Pps - now I know why you didn't want the cover ;)

Ppps - bump on hrc cover for sale

Sorry about your mates, sad... You can always get another bike when ever you like mate but tbh more and more people are moving to the track! And I don't blame any of them! At least your still around to chat to mate and if ever your down my way your always welcome to drop in, camp over, go fishing, shooting whatever....lol Your another fine Honda owner mate and you meet the nicest people on Hondas.... :D

+1 what Ken said. When you know its time, you know its time and will have no regrets or looking back. I had my moment of thinking that enough is enough earlier this year and could have walked away quite easily. But..... I had another ride out to make sure and loved it, not initially I grant you but once the tyres got warm and I got into the groove I realised it was not my time. But it will come and when it does I know Ling and my kids will no doubt breathe a huge sigh of relief.

I am glad you are sticking around; I for one have enjoyed your company Jamie.

I'm sure you will get another J.
What else will you spend your cash on if you've not got a bike?
I'm having a go at selling mine for something cheaper as I'm not getting the use.

A real shame chap but no decisions like that are for ever, it is only a bike after all, and if you change your mind next week then you can buy another. If its right for you its right for you.

I'm using mine less and less now but its the only hobby i have and a few hours on a sunday is the most i can squeeze in now so depsite wanting to get right in to track days, my growing family just doesnt leave the room.

I know how you feel Jamie, I lost my best mate at 18 and another mate to a drunk driver when 19, plus heard of a few bad accidents that caused lost limbs :-( so that after my first was born I sold my bike for the sake of my young child and wife. So began the long time from bike riding but now the kids have grown up
I am back into motorcycling and loving every minute :)
So my first bike stint was from 16 to 34 and then a 18 year gap and now back into it again, you never lose the bug once bitten

So I hope it all works out for mate, I have reached the state of "born again biker" and I bloody love it :)

Not an easy decision too make I know, but with 2 people I know crashing in the past 2 weeks, one needing his shoulder rebuilt with pins and plates and the other needing his forearm rebuilt with pins and plates its not making me rush back that I can tell you.

Got any other hobbies to keep you busy?
