Hello, new member from Suffolk

    Hello All,

    I have had my 2010 Fireblade for about 3 weeks now and I must say I absolutely love it! I had a GSXR750 K5 before and this is my first 1000cc bike, what a difference:).

    I know how important forums are for sharing info about our bikes so I thought I'd join and learn a few things, already been caught out by the small capacity battery.....doh! so always on a trickle charger now:). Off to have a look round forum now.

    Hello and welcome.

    I personally have never had an issue with the battery even when left over winter

    Welcome, don't leave the charger be it an Optimate or whatever constantly connected for long periods of time it can damage the battery.
