Hi, I want to change the brake fluids on my 2011 blade, is that any problem to do at home.

I change the fluids on my ABS cb1300 with no problems.

    Many thanks,

    Rob.

As far as I see it Rob, so long as you don't allow the system to become empty it's a matter of topping the reservoir up as you bleed it through. Find out how much the system takes, drag that much and a bit more through each side and that should be job done.
Use a mechanical bleeder rather than pumping the lever should take no time at all.

All that said, I could be completely wrong?
But that's how I'd set about it.

    Hey Rob,

We did ColinBR's abs blade the same as any normal non abs system. We did have the addition of some bling via rizoma reservoir containers. But this only added bleeding via the banjo bolt at the MC.

We used a syringe to sook out the old fluid in res, (in Colin’s case swapped res over then) top up res with new fluid, then bleed the system from top down (again in Colin’s case MC then callipers) I tend to run 2 fills of the res thru each calliper in order to make sure all the old fluid is thoroughly out of the lines.

    Hope this helps.:)

Glad you got it done ok :D,
on Colin's blade it was very evident when all the air was removed as it went from a proper spongy feel to almost solid after the microswitch click. again this was only achieved after bleedin via the banjo rather than the bleed nipple at the MC (a problem more attributed to allowing air in at MC when swapping res over).
