Hi all, my front lights seem dull ! I have H7 bulbs but which are the best ones ? Xenon 55w or 100w though I know the 100w's arent legal. Or are the gas filled ones better ? Bright white , blue/white such a choice

Weapon of choice if it's just a bulb change you're looking at is Osram Nightbreakers Timmy. Have a word with Sideways.

i would be worried about doing that..as it may dazzle the car in front or something and the other driver may react in an unexpected way..

I was walking the dog last night and a Triumph 675 came down the road with what looked like LED (Ducati type lights) very nice indeed.

I've got HID's on both bikes, they are awesome.

I have heard that this is now an MOT fail so was thinking of putting the standard bulbs back In, anyone know for sure if that's the case?

On the 954 all three are the same bulb mate, 55w H7.

Thanks to all for your comments. Do you have to buy a conversion kit for HID bulbs how easy is it to install ?
Or can you just put bulbs in :)

Conversion kit, easy to fit as plug and play. Hardest part is trying to find somewhere to put the ballast, depending on bike. 929, real easy, 10 plate was more challenging.

Mines a 954 so should be fairly easy as Honda didn't change that much from 929 - what's the ballast ?

a small metal box sometimes with cooling fins just
    bigger than a cigarette box.
just heard to stear clear of the ones that need a relay
wired as they have been blowing on owners on the audi
forums after a year of use and frying elements in the dash
    and ecu's :s

When I get five minutes I'll PM you the link for the ones I and loads my pals use, been on the 10 and the 929 for a couple of years with no issues. They have got the in line starter and the ballast is nice and small.

Many thanks for that. Now I've sorted the brake issue out I don't want to bugger anything else up lol. Would be just my luck to burn the wire system out
Regards to all for the info and heads up on parts to use or not.

right old thread but nor worth me starting another

While I have the bike in bits I have found out the bulbs are H& for the 2011 blade? I hope this is right

Also any further suggestion on the bulbs. May as well upgrade them while I have them off

    Any Suggestions

If the ampersand is the shifted 7 on your keyboard and you don't want to go down the HIDS route, I'd still recommend Osram NightBreakers as straight replacement. Sideways sells them.

I really just want a straight replacement. I find the light very good compared to my Speed triple lights and again may as well upgrade while I have the bike in bits again
