I've just received an email informing me that I've won a place on the above event run by Focused Events Bennetts Ultimate Track Day 2012 | Bennetts - Bennetts Ultimate Track Day at Oulton Park on Tuesday 11th September. A Bennetts Ultimate Track Day is no ordinary Track Day: You will have access to the Bennetts-sponsored British stars; MotoGP's Cal Crutchlow, double World Superbike Champion James Toseland and Moto2's Scott Redding will be on hand for on and off track tips and advice. Bike racer turned TV presenter/commentator Jamie Whitham will also be riding as the special guest instructor for the day. Plus there's so much more to the day: More time and space on track due to the exclusivity of the event. Complimentary breakfast, lunch and VIP goody bags. A special stunt show from the incredible Vertical Trix. Bike Clinics with our star riders will offer bike set-up advice. Q&A session with our star riders during the lunch break. Riders will be split into an appropriate class (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) and will enjoy the freedom of the track throughout the day. Not bad for my first track day, Now to find a van for a few days and book the time off work.
Congratulations Icarus, and can I just point out the irony of a trackday sponsored by a company that's likely to refuse to insure you if you go to the bother of preparing your bike to make the experience worthwhile.

Bennetts are on my 'never deal with ever again' sh*tlist, but that day looks excellent. We expect lots of pics and vids!
congratulations have a great time, i won one of these before for donington park. they are run by focused events so it should go smoothly. to share the same track with these stars is an experience.
Two days to go until my first track day and what a day it should be, shame that the weather isn't looking too cleaver! Suspension has now been tweaked and feels better on the road, time to go bleed the brakes.
I'm in Winsford now, chilling in the van waiting for my wives friend to finish work as I'm staying at hers tonight seeing as she lives 10 min from Oulton. I've done a reccee so I know where I'm heading in the morning. I've bought a bottle of wine (to share) to help me sleep tonight and combat the feelings of a five year old at Christmas that are likely to stop me sleeping properly tonight. Bike suspension is tweaked, mirrors removed, tank full, chain lubed and tyre pressure to be lowered in the morning. I just hope my arrow can passes the noise test in the morning.
I am planning to come and watch for a bit, I notice on the website it's a private event so not sure if you can still go in to watch . Might see you there Barney if you go .
