    Hey guys

Anyone else had a like rubbing noise coming from the rear brake on a new 2012?
It makes like a rubbing noise when pushing the bike when off or coming to a stop street, then goes away, is it because the pad needs to bed in?

How many miles have you done? I would say the linings are all new and will bed in given time. Try get some more use of the rear brake.

    Hey RichC

I have done 220km so far, hehe. I never use rear brakes really so I will make a noted effort to use them and see if the noise goes away

What about when coming to a slow rolling stop, when in traffic for example? I was taught in my DAS to use the rear to come to an unhurried stop and it does make a big difference, imo. It's especially useful in London, and you can even hold it stationary without putting a foot down for a good long while.

Also need the rear brake a lot more in the wet and when 2-up.

Different scenario I am mainly blasting around the Lincolnshire Wolds or at Cadwell. The benefit of C-ABS if I grab too much front it puts brake to the rear with courtesy no effort required. :)

Mine does, i noticed it the other day whilst adjusting the chain, I don't think it's any worse than other bikes it's just the pads skimming the disc, No ABS, 5000m and it does get used..

I use my rear brake very frequently on the road - far better for low speed control and also for small speed changes at higher speeds. Often use at the same time as the throttle (ie, don't shut off fully), keeps things nice and smooth.

IMO most bikes have a bit of brake drag/noise when wheeling them around?
