FOC suggested if we could do something, or something to mark this landmark ut still waiting to hear back from Rob ?
you think we can find out how many of these are active users? so minus the amount say who have not logged in for the last 6 months?
I would say off the top of my head we have prob 200-400 active to semi active users. Not bad for a still very young forum
As in life you only get out what you put in, 1000rr.co.uk is no different. I am not sure what the member count was when I joined but it seems to have grown at an alarming rate (in a good way). This was my first venture into a forum and have found the experience both informative and a whole lot of fun. I am consistently amazed by the level of support and technical knowledge that is freely traded, Good old guru Arthur immediately springing to mind. Before joining my biking life was generally a solitary thing but I now really enjoy sharing and reading other peoples experiences. Then the is the overall sense of humour and general mucking about. Yes I should know better at my age but it is refreshing to know I am not the only one with such a warped mind. Last but and not least, the people. I have chatted with and meet some great people, some of which have now become firm friends and I value there company immensely. So good O to the furum and all those that ride with it. Oh and Matt, Rob better pull his finger out or we miss the opportunity we discussed. That’s it, I have to take my meds now and go back in the padded cell.
I have tried to make sure Rob is aware of this and will text him in a min I remember when all this was fields with 3 members, Rob, Craig and myself
Not that I'm saying we feel neglected, but we could do with a site refresh ala the Ducati Forum - have you been there lately? Looks bang tidy.
A long time ago came a man on a track Walking thirty miles with a pack on his back And he put down his load where he thought it was the best Made a home in the wilderness He built a cabin and a winter store And he ploughed up the ground by the cold lake shore And the other travellers came riding down the track And they never went further, no, they never went back Then came the churches then came the schools Then came the lawyers then came the rules Then came the trains and the trucks with their loads Not that I listen to it that much ! + 1 what Vino said, the Ducati forum does look kinda fresher and more visually pleasing.
Having said that, it might look a bit bland but its pretty stable, doesn’t crash anywhere near as much as Blaggers!
Literally just spat coffee back in to my mug after reading that. Poor Blaggers. Not seen him post recently - hasn't been modifying his local tarmac again, has he?
