With no electronic package to rival other brands they'll loose sales, I had a go on a mates Aprilia RSV4 APRC the other day and it was simply brilliant, the quick shifter was awesome, the suspension was even better. It is a complete package for not much more money than a Blade. I'm a Honda man through and through, but it frustrates the hell outa me when Honda lag behind smaller manufactures, when they could blow them out of the water if they so desired. I want traction, quick shifter, and better brakes, better suspension would be good also
My mate paid 12.5k, brand new he picked it up Friday, from a shop in Wigan, cant remember the name of the shop though
this is the website thats doing the Aprillia Motorcycle Dealer - MCO - Motorcycle Centre Orrell Ltd - Aprilia - Ducati - Honda - Kawasaki - Suzuki - Yamaha
I wouldnt touch aprilla with a bargepole. 3 people I know, 2 with the new rsv4 and another with a shiver have had nothing but problems, and the back up is crap. Hond beats them into a cocked hat for reliability, parts availability and dealer back up.
The entry bike is only a plain colour after that came out the factory after that come out the factory APRC SE .........the 2012 bike looks the same as as the old factory bike.............. but the bike he bought is no basic bike .... me knows me Aprilia The new features introduced in the Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC SE in detail: APRC Aprilia Performance Ride Control, the electronic management package including: ATC: Aprilia Traction Control automatically adjusts to different types of tyres, with 8 settings conveniently selectable while racing from a joystick on the left handlebar without turning down the throttle; AWC: Aprilia Wheelie Control with three settings; ALC: Aprilia Launch Control, for use on the track only, with 3 settings; AQS: Aprilia Quick Shift, for ultra-fast shifting without closing the throttle or using the clutch. yeah Hairy muff mate . I didn't need all that info. All I'm saying is Flatstick said the bike is 17k obviously referring to the higher spec factory bike which is nt what was mentioned above for 12k . It even says under the add " THIS IS NOT THE FACTORY MODEL" in capitals ( not being shouting ) i couldn't care less what it does or doesn't have . I would have bought one if i did
I think your taking this the wrong way Dan i was trying to explain the difference between the bike models, the factory bike they are talking about is the new factory 2012 model the APRC is 2010/2011 which sold at 16995 Sometimes i get quite annoyed what happens on these websites.... someone says something about how they got a good a deal ...someones disbelieves it........ someone else comes on explains it and the other one gets upset and says i was not interested in it anyway ......... if i am wrong i just thanks for that i didnt know but thanks for help
Yeah sorry mate, I know what you mean . Anyway back to the new blade .. Anybody else heard that there defiantly will not be traction control ? Few members on .net say they have but my Macbook won't open the links to they're source of info
That one doesn't have aprc. That's the old factory one. I thought the new factory was the only one available with aprc which is why I thought they were £17k.
Going by them pictures and videos everyone (mcn, bsn etc) are saying it won't have traction control until the next major overhaul in a couple of years or so.
Me too. I want to keep mine for 2 years then possibly change if something worth while come out. I would possibly think about changing to the BPF forks and new rear shock if they're a straight swap and come up for sale cheap somewhere. Apart from that the current bike won't be much different IMO
