The problem, or one of the issues with insurance posts is that what ever anybody else pays with any particular insurer is totally meaningless due to each persons postcode, age , driving history , claims history and all other manner of differences that affect the price. The increase in price for this bike is just a total rip off and they are thinking that because you have now purchased the bike you have no choice !!!

Thats a ridiculous price and if they are bumping it up like that every 5 mins then they dont deserve your money .

I found my best quote on " The Bike insurer " web site after seeing the site advertised whilst watching BSB. Gotta be worth a quick look

Very true. Never experienced that scenario and hope I never will but my hatred of motor vehicle insurance stems back to the only and only time I had to make a claim and due to the incompetencies of my insurer at the time I lost my no claims bonus and my compulsory and voluntary access. Yesterday and todays fiasco only served to remind me of that debacle.

Totally agree Remal. Only thing is they were the cheapest by some distance. However there is a happy ending :)

You're right. Just seen that on my GoCompare quote page. Makes a mockery of the 30 days validity period.

I agree. I think that's why they were so bullish yesterday and earlier today however there is some good news to share at the end of this. :D

Thanks Dan. I did and was close to buying a policy with them (even though they were slightly more expensive than my original quote from Bike Devil) until I received a call right at the end of the day to put a smile back on my face.

Hudson - basically bloke sold his bike, informed DVLA etc. but left his insurance running because he only had a couple of months to run to give another years ncb. Purchaser crashed the bike causing serious injuries to a third party, but purchaser had no insurance and skipped the country. Original owner was traced through insurance still in force on bike. He is facing possible legal proceedings for the accident/injuries, failing to inform the insurance and other stuff. Facing inprisonment and loosing home, job etc. Fast Bikes legal expert opinion - he's in the shit.
