Well at last I finally picked her up this morning ! Big smile on my face when I seen her again and couldn`t wait to erm.. jump on and ride her ! I cannot believe how easy they are to ride and way way comfier than what the duc was. Really inspires confidence on it especially into the corners and with a new set of pirelli rosso 2`s on it aswell. I was amazed at the ferocious acceleration and the handling too. Was a bit strange at first with no sound as such as she only has the standard exhaust (soon to be rectified) as I`m used to the thump of the termigonis on the duc. Anyway took the 100 mile scenic route home and it was awesome. NO sore back or wrists or anything just heap of smiles Can`t wait to go out on her tomorrow again . Oh and heres a few pics for you pic junkies ! She does need a bit of TLC and a good clean which I will attend to over the winter. I also have a tail tidy , indicators etc to go on but will wait till I have the exhaust and do it all in one go.
Nice bike there mate. Glad you're enjoying the bike. Let's just hope this weather holds up for just that little bit longer for a few more rides this year.
Cheer guys its been well worth the wait ! . Forecast tomorrow up here is scorchio (well for us anyway ) so looking to get out for the whole day tomorrow . So so chuffed with her
I'm planning much of the same myself mate. Working till 11 then I'm off on the bike up to the loch earn area.
Another exclusive old shape cbr1000rr owner they are rather good aren't they lovely looking too. Not as common on here as the new shapes but can still dance on a bit
Cheers mate , Yeah she can dance like as I pulled an unintended wheelie when I whacked open the throttle in second gear this afternoon !!
Forgot to add aswell that I am only the third owner of this fantasic machine and she has only covered 14000 miles with a fully stamped service book , She has only done 300 in the last 2 years !!
Got to say I do prefer the exhaust on these models how it sits below the rear light compared to mine which is a 2009 model.
Verry nice they do look good in black, If it was mine I would get rid of the silver belly and go black on that too, they look really nice that way IMO
If that’s Scorchio, it must be pretty grim up there fella, what with all that snow swept up against the side of your garage. lol. Nice bike ddc and yes it looks great in black. Enjoy.
I did think about that and also going for gold wheels but to be honest I like the way it is I`m also going to change the hugger to a silver one aswell
