northern england to Alicante Spain 2,400 in 23 hours , but the bike was in the back of the van where it should be :-}}
Rode from Preston "oop north" down to channel tunnel and up to Amsterdam. About 500 miles on an RRN. Set off at 7.30am and arrived at 9.00 that evening.
Tarbert, Argyll & Bute Scotland to Gloucester with a few detours via the border roads & Northumberland/Penrith area not sure of how many miles about 500 ish I think did not plan the route properly just made it up as I went. That was on my old K4 GSXR 750 Was hoping to do more miles on the way up avoiding motorways as much as I could but got into wales and there was a storm so I changed my route to avoid it, better luck next time.
My best effort was on a Blackbird about 10 years ago. A mate and me took A ferry to Calais and a night time blast to the south of France. Only stopping for coffee, fuel etc and arrived and had brekkie on the beach. Mind you we were so shagged we fell asleep on the beach, and spent the next week worrying if the police were looking for us - it was a proper fast blast all the way there. Weird feeling actually when we got there, the adrenalin was so high I couldn't relax, but felt dead on my feet at the same time...... Not recommended.
2 days London to Almeria on my 2009 Fireblade and 2 days back. I think it's about 1450 miles door to door. Bike was comfy but I'm after a McGuinness screen!
1450 miles in one hit with no overnight break is a hell of a distance!! Even with an overnight its still over 700 per day. Respect mate, respect.
You're too kind, shipmate. But I stopped at Le Pouzin on the way down and Orange on the way back. Orange has the most amazing amphitheatre if you're in the area with excellent audio guides available in English. I ended up leaving Orange at midday and had to 'make progress' to get to London that night.
1180 kms/730 miles on the 09 Blade in a single day Went from johannesburg up to Eastern Transvaal, rode the stunning forest swwepers, all 260+kph and rode back. Left home at 5 got home at 8 Blade was lovely for that. Wouldn't dream of trying it on my RSV4!!
For me it was 643 through Germany in the summer on my wee tour over to the MotoGP at the Sachsenring good times...
