What procedure? Removing them? Refitting them? What bike?

Do you need to remove the tank?

Im doing it right now, and am stuck.
Everything is apart, tank still on ;) but the tray under the seat wont move back?

its loose and flappy at the back and the rear tail light is dangling down.

I got the screw under the fusebox so the tray lifts a bit, but nowhere near far enough to get access to the rear peg bolts.

Its almost as if there are more bolts under the tank?

[edit]Reading the manual at home I see that the earth nut bolt through the tray underneathe the tank, so the tank would have to come off[/edit]

    Got it.

Gave up with the tray lifting route and split the rear seat frame instead. :)

    Top effort mate.
That's the route I ended going down. I still cringe thinking about how hard it was just to get them off.

Yup - it was a monumental pain in the butt.
I managed to drop the bolt that sits behind the lower nut holding the rear subfram (just above the rear brake reservoir). :(

    rattle rattle clump .... :eek::rolleyes:

    Couldn't find it anywhere

Will need to get a replacement on the weekend.
Taped the bolt back in place until then ;)

Here it is after I stripped the back end down:

    Hi all,

I've read all the posts and studied the pics and I'm cringing at the thought of undertaking this job:eek:. Basically, is it that the fuel tank remains in place, do I not have to touch the battery tray and just remove the sub-frame one side at a time?

Does this at all differ for an ABS bike as I've not seen any references to anyone doing an ABS yet?

It's the same for the ABS model mate. There's just a few more bolts to undo. And yes just take 1 side off at a time.
